Common questions
How does CartLens track prices?
From your receipts. Each time you scan one, CartLens records every item and its price at that store. Over time that becomes a price history for everything you buy.
Do I have to enter prices by hand?
No. CartLens reads the receipt or shelf tag from a photo, so the items, prices and store are filled in for you. You can still edit anything it got wrong.
Can I track prices at any store?
Yes. CartLens works with receipts from any store and any category, not just grocery chains.
Is the price tracker free?
Scanning is free, and the free plan keeps up to 5 trips every 30 days. Price Trends and unlimited history are part of Pro.
Will CartLens alert me when a price drops?
Not yet. Today CartLens shows your price history and where an item is cheaper nearby. Price drop alerts are on the roadmap.
